A transparent record of what we've shipped, improved, and fixed, all in one place.
The v2.2 runtime upgrade is live. Three major features land with this release:
TRON is now supported at the protocol level, bringing native USDT (TRC-20) swaps to Chainflip: no KYC, no CEX. Liquidity and routing are ramping up across the ecosystem now.
Lending 2.0 reworks how collateral works on Chainflip. Supplied assets are no longer locked and idle. Under the new unified pool model, BTC in the lending pool can earn additional yield through Boost while remaining fully covered for loans. Existing loans migrate automatically.
Oracle-based Stablecoin Strategies give liquidity providers a new option when creating strategies on lp.chainflip.io. Instead of placing orders around a fixed $1 peg, the oracle-based mode dynamically centers liquidity around the current market price, improving capital efficiency. No lockups on either strategy type.
Chainflip has reached a supply milestone. The total FLIP burned through protocol activity has now exceeded everything emitted since TGE.
Supply rose with emissions, peaked near 95.7M, and has returned to around 90M, where it launched. That crossover happened through normal protocol activity: every swap generates fees, a portion buys FLIP from the open market, and that FLIP is permanently removed from supply. No governance vote, no treasury event.
$7.9B in total swap volume and 830,000+ swaps later, burns have fully offset all emissions. And they keep running with every swap that clears.
TRON is now live on Perseverance, Chainflip's testnet. Swaps involving TRX and USDT (TRC-20) are available for testing ahead of mainnet deployment. This marks another step in expanding Chainflip's native cross-chain support to one of the largest stablecoin networks.

2x faster BTC & ETH swaps
We’ve reduced block confirmations required for swaps on BTC and ETH, doubling speed and improving UX across the board.
BTC: 3 → 2 confirmations
ETH: 6 → 3 confirmations
This change improves execution times, shortens integration loops for partners, and tightens the overall swap experience, especially for high-volume users.

Fortifying economic security
We’ve implemented the first wave of validator reforms to better align incentives, improve network stability, and prepare for delegated staking.
Backup validators removed, reducing emissions by 20%
Set size reduced with higher minimum bids
Native FLIP transfers enabled between validator accounts
These changes raise the bar for validator participation and set the stage for long-term network hardening.
We’ve overhauled how Stablecoin Strategies behave, giving LPs more control, smarter automation, and stronger APY potential.
What’s New
Dynamic Spread Adjustment
LPs can now set different buy and sell spreads that automatically adapt over time based on asset balance and market flow.
→ For example:
If you’re overweight in USDT, the strategy will widen your buy range for USDC and tighten your sell range for USDT, encouraging rebalancing in the right direction.
This dynamic, asymmetric pricing makes strategies more responsive, capital-efficient, and better positioned to capture yield opportunities.
Learn more
Smarter quotes, better execution
The old quoting system often showed prices that didn’t reflect actual swap execution, as LPs front ran each other right before execution, and users ended up with much better prices as a result. This update introduces a smarter backend model to fix that.
Quote Accuracy Improvement
The new quoter accounts for LP behaviour during execution time vs quotes provided, since now we can connect quotes vs executed prices
Better listings, better indexing
We’re making it easier to discover Chainflip, both through major aggregator platforms and organic search.
DefiLlama Adapters Live
Chainflip is now listed across multiple DefiLlama Yield pages:
Improves visibility alongside other top DeFi protocols
Not eligible for bridge listings (no EVM contracts required)
Technical SEO Improvements
Reduced duplicate content
Fixed broken links and crawl issues
Improved page structure and internal linking
More eyes, cleaner indexing, and a stronger foundation for long-term discovery.
Less guesswork, more confidence
We’ve overhauled the LP deposit and withdrawal flow to make it easier, and safer, for liquidity providers to manage their funds.
Wallet connection support: LPs can now connect their wallet directly to guide the process
Smarter flow detection: System checks for correct asset and amount before confirming
Error reduction: Helps prevent accidental deposits of unsupported or incorrect tokens
Clearer UI: More visible status indicators and actionable next steps
This change was driven by direct LP feedback and is designed to reduce friction and eliminate common errors in the LP process.
Cleaner metrics, smarter context
This update refines how we present trading volume and broker stats across the Explorer, reducing confusion and surfacing the right numbers for each user type.
Swap Stats Toggle
New toggle lets users switch between:
Filled Volume (default): How much LPs fill in pools
Swap Volume: Total inflow per swap request
Tooltips added for clarity around both metrics
Affects Volume, Boost, and DCA stats, not Latest Swaps or Top Sources/Destinations
Broker Stats 2.0
New structure for Main vs Affiliate Brokers
Shows separate metrics for:
Broker’s own swaps, volume, fees
Swaps/volume routed via 'Affiliates'
3-tab chart view: Volume, Swaps, Fees
Export functionality + advanced filters
Uses new dropdown components for smoother UX
LP Stats Refresh
Replaced old area charts with stacked bar charts for consistency
Titles, tooltips, and stat labels clarified
All LP volume is now labelled 'Filled Volume'
This update clears up long-standing double-counting confusion, better aligns stats with actual protocol behaviour, and lays the groundwork for future Explorer insights.
