Trust Wallet Chainflip Swap Guide: BNB Chain, TRON, and cbBTC in 2026

Since our initial Trust Wallet integration guides, Chainflip has expanded significantly. TRON support launched in June, and BNB Chain and cbBTC support are coming soon. This updated guide covers how to swap these new assets using Trust Wallet in 2026.

What's New Since the Original Guides

The earlier Trust Wallet tutorials focused on swapping native BTC to Ethereum and Solana assets. Chainflip is adding three major expansions that Trust Wallet users can soon access natively.

BNB Chain (soon live): Swap native BTC, ETH, SOL, and other supported assets directly to BNB or USDT on BNB Chain. This connects Trust Wallet users to one of the largest DeFi ecosystems.

TRON/TRC20 (live June 2026): Access TRX and USDT on TRON, the network that processes over $80 billion in USDT transfers monthly. Tron's stablecoin market cap grew from $33.7 billion in January 2023 to over $84.4 billion by January 2026, a 151% increase.

cbBTC (Coinbase Wrapped Bitcoin, soon live): Swap to and from cbBTC on Ethereum, giving Trust Wallet users another wrapped Bitcoin option alongside native BTC and WBTC.

Supported Assets via Trust Wallet

Trust Wallet can interact with Chainflip for any asset the protocol supports. As of August 2026, this includes:

  • Bitcoin: BTC (native), wBTC, cbBTC (soon)

  • Ethereum: ETH, USDC, USDT, FLIP

  • Solana: SOL, USDC, USDT

  • Polkadot Asset Hub: DOT, USDC, USDT

  • Arbitrum: ETH, USDC, USDT

  • TRON: TRX, USDT

  • BNB Chain (soon): BNB, USDT

The protocol has processed over $8.6 billion in cross-chain swap volume, with all swaps secured by Chainflip's decentralized validator network rather than any centralized custodian.

How to Swap BNB Chain Assets with Trust Wallet (Coming Soon)

BNB Chain support isn’t live on Chainflip yet. Once it launches, swapping to BNB Chain will follow the same flow as other Chainflip swaps, just with BNB Chain as your destination or source.

There are two ways to swap with Trust Wallet: open swap.chainflip.io in Trust Wallet's in-app browser and swap there (the steps below use this method), or select a Chainflip route directly inside Trust Wallet's own swap interface when it supports your assets the swap happens without leaving the app.

Step 1: Open swap.chainflip.io. Connect your wallet when prompted or swap without connecting a wallet.

Step 2: Select your source asset (for example, native BTC from your Bitcoin wallet). Then select your destination asset: BNB, or USDT on BNB Chain.

Step 3: Enter the amount you want to swap. Chainflip will display the estimated output, including all fees. Review the quote and confirm.

Step 4: For BTC swaps, you'll receive a deposit address. Send your BTC to this address from Trust Wallet's Bitcoin wallet. For EVM assets, approve and sign the transaction directly.

Step 5: Track your swap on Chainflip Scan. BNB Chain assets typically arrive within minutes once the source transaction confirms.

How to Swap TRON Assets with Trust Wallet

TRON swaps work similarly but with TRC20 addresses instead of EVM addresses. You can learn more about TRON swaps on Chainflip for additional context.

Step 1: Access swap.chainflip.io through Trust Wallet's browser. Connect your wallet.

Step 2: Choose your source asset. For the destination, select either TRX or USDT on TRON.

Step 3: Enter your TRON wallet address from Trust Wallet. This is where your swapped assets will arrive. Double-check the address format (it should start with T).

Step 4: Review the quote and complete the swap. For BTC sources, send to the provided deposit address. For EVM sources, sign the transaction.

Step 5: Monitor the swap on Chainflip Scan. Your TRX or USDT-TRC20 will appear in your Trust Wallet TRON wallet once complete.

How to Swap cbBTC with Trust Wallet (Coming Soon)

cbBTC support isn’t live on Chainflip yet, it will launch on Ethereum only (not Base). Once live, cbBTC swaps will let you move between native Bitcoin and Coinbase’s wrapped version, or swap cbBTC for other assets entirely.

Swapping native BTC to cbBTC: Select BTC as source and cbBTC (on Ethereum) as destination. Send BTC to the deposit address, and cbBTC arrives in your Ethereum wallet.

Swapping cbBTC to other assets: Connect your Ethereum wallet in Trust Wallet, select cbBTC as source, and choose any supported destination (SOL, TRX, BNB, etc.). Approve and sign the transaction.

This gives Trust Wallet users flexibility between holding native BTC and wrapped versions that may be more useful for specific DeFi applications.

Fees and Timing

Chainflip displays all fees upfront before you confirm any swap. Fees include network fees for both source and destination chains, plus a small protocol fee. There are no hidden charges.

Swap completion times depend on the source chain's confirmation requirements. BTC swaps typically complete in 10-30 minutes. EVM-to-EVM swaps are faster, often under 5 minutes. TRON destinations process quickly once the source confirms.

Why This Matters for Trust Wallet Users

Trust Wallet supports multiple chains natively, but moving assets between them traditionally required centralized exchanges or bridges with varying trust assumptions. Chainflip's decentralized custody model means your swaps are secured by validators without any single point of control.

With TRON live, and BNB Chain and cbBTC support coming soon, Trust Wallet users have access to Chainflip's full asset range directly from their mobile wallet. Whether you're moving BTC to USDT on TRON for payments or swapping SOL to ETH for DeFi, the process works the same way.

Start your first swap at swap.chainflip.io and explore the expanded asset options available through Trust Wallet, with BNB Chain and cbBTC support coming soon.

Can I swap native BTC to BNB Chain using Trust Wallet?

BNB Chain support is coming soon. Once live, select BTC as your source asset and BNB or USDT on BNB Chain as your destination (only USDT is planned on BSC, not USDC). Send BTC to the deposit address provided, and your BNB Chain assets will arrive in your Trust Wallet.

What TRON assets can I swap to via Chainflip?

Chainflip supports TRX and USDT on TRON. You can swap from any supported source asset (BTC, ETH, SOL, etc.) to either of these TRON assets.

How do cbBTC swaps work with Trust Wallet?

Once cbBTC support goes live (on Ethereum, not Base), you’ll be able to swap native BTC to cbBTC, or swap cbBTC to any other supported asset. Connect your Ethereum wallet in Trust Wallet and select cbBTC as either source or destination.

Are there different fees for BNB Chain or TRON swaps?

Fees vary based on network costs for each chain. Chainflip displays all fees upfront before you confirm, so you'll see the exact cost regardless of which destination chain you choose.

How long do swaps to BNB Chain or TRON take?

Completion time depends on the source chain. BTC source swaps take 10-30 minutes for confirmations. Once confirmed, TRON destinations process quickly, typically within minutes (BNB Chain will behave the same way once it goes live).
